Justin is a junior business major. He recently completed his first internship at Comcast in data analytics.
His favorite moments as a Spartan are going to Indianapolis for the Final Four and Big Ten Championship Game. His dream is to work in Business Operations for a professional hockey team.

Sophie Smith: Vice President
Sophie Smith is a senior communications major with a minor in health promotions. She currently is working in the Sales and Marketing department with MSU athletics. She is also working with Lansing United soccer team doing their community relations.
Previously she was on the FLISE marketing committee, and then became part of the marketing chair, now vice president. Sophie has been in FLISE since her sophomore year at MSU and she loves how FLISE gives it’s members so many opportunities to get a taste of what the sports industry is like.
Her dream job is to work with the Detroit Lions in their community relations department.

Abby Miller: Recruitment Chair
Abby is a Business major in her sophomore year at Michigan State University. She is not sure what business she wants to study; however, she will declare her major by the end of her sophomore year.
Abby has been a part of FLISE for only one semester now, but loved it so much she wanted to get more involved. She hopes to do great things while being a part of this club, and to meet many new people to become life-long friends.
Her biggest goal is to get involved with Nike Inc. and work with both the Supply Chain Management Department along with communications. She believes that no job can be done without the sense of communication.
Abby’s favorite Spartan moment was definitely the last play of the Michigan vs Michigan State football game just this past year (2015). That is something she will never forget.
Tyler Durbin: Professional Development Chair
Tyler is a junior majoring in management with plans to add a sports management minor in the spring. He has been a FLISE member during both of his first two years at Michigan State and this year is his first on the executive board. His dream job is to be an athletic director for a D1 university.
Tyler’s favorite MSU sports memory is walking through Ann Arbor after they fumbled the game away.

Julie Kalt: Marketing and Media Chair
Julie is a sophomore Hospitality Business major with a minor in Sports Business Management. Julie stays busy by attending Michigan State almost every baseball, basketball, football and hockey home games.
One of Julie’s goals is to visit every MLB stadium before she graduates from MSU.
She dreams to work as an Event Coordinator for a professional sports team and ultimately hopes to work for ESPN.

Kevin Wenner: Sponsorship and Fundraising Chair
Kevin is a junior majoring in finance and currently works in the MSU Ticket Office. Kevin’s dream job would be to work in the front office for a professional basketball team.
His favorite moment as a Spartan was traveling to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship game, where a final minute touchdown put MSU into the College Football Playoff.

Desireé Melfi: Advisor
Desireé is a proud Michigan State University alum and has worked on campus for 3 years. She is the Communications Manager for Undergraduate Entrepreneurship in the College ofBusiness at MSU. She is pursuing her Master’s degree in MSU’s H.A.L.E. program.
Desireé is a writer, graphic designer and photographer with 9 years of experience in sales and marketing. A portion of her career was spent in the Sports & Entertainment industry. As FLISE’s advisor she has been able to merge her desire to promote student success with her experiences in sports and entertainment.
She has had many favorite Spartan moments over the years from incredible MSU wins in football to deep runs in the Big Dance in March. The moment that continues to stand out is watching the clock tick down in Pasadena and her Spartans winning the 100th Rose Bowl.
